MEET OUR PASTOR!
Richard and Diana Owen have been the pastors at Solid Rock Family Church for almost 25 years.

OUR CHURCH HISTORY
In the fall of 1998, several people from the Lufkin, Hudson, and Pollok areas gathered to worship in Hudson, Texas in a private home. One night, weeks later, as the youth group was having a prayer meeting, the homeowner came in from his upholstery shop next door and announced that he had the name of our church..... Solid Rock Family Church. The name, led by the Holy Spirit, was based on the scripture found in Matthew 16:18. "And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter (which means rock) and upon this rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."
We were growing and began looking for a building that better suited our needs and eventually began renting the old Radiology Building on Ellis Ave. in Lufkin. In 2001, we were blessed to find property and a building on Hwy. 103 West, just outside Loop 287, a prime location for a church such as ours. We made minor renovations to the house on the property and began having services. In 2014, our pastor Richard Owen and several others, worked diligently for over a year and in the Spring of 2016, we began services in our new sanctuary. We were and are still beyond blessed to be meeting in such a beautiful place.
We look forward to all that God has in store and we sincerely hope that you will consider growing with us.
